The world of Elderfalls stands three hundred years after the cataclysm. Four great cities rule it, each with its own culture and biome: Kingsport, the human capital; Queensmere, the garden city of the druids; Fenmarket, the merchant port on the marsh; and Elderbough, the elven city among the trees.
It is designed on the pattern of the classic MMOs: the cities are far apart and the journey between them is part of the game. Danger can be read on the map: harder the farther you get from the temple and the deeper you go underground. Every place has a reason to go there, and every city sells something you find nowhere else.
Nothing deceives you. What you see is what it does: a staircase going down takes you right below. You win with positioning, preparation and good gear, not with reflexes.
